WHY SURFATOM

Imagined by an experienced surfer, designed by an ex shaper and professional industrial designer, the Surfatom board has been created to replicate the surf paddling posture and to help you getting your paddle shape and wave count to the next level.

The board is locally manufactured in Europe and recyclable! While enjoying waves and training, you will be supporting a local community without harming the planet.

Surfatom is an idea which was born from the work of three people with very different profiles but sharing a great passion: surfing.

Ramon Baux

Co-founder

Born in Madrid with 4 kids and still kicking. Ramon is the original creator of the first proto-board, that he has been using for years in his pool training sessions. With more than 20 years’ experience in the Corporate industry, he enjoys surfing the South of France and the Basque Country since the 90’s.

Erik Barclay

Lead Designer

Born in Peru, father of 3 kids and big wave surfer. He spotted right away the benefits and potential of Ramon’s idea. Erik has a long-lasting professional career in the Industrial Design field, where he has designed from airplanes to lollipops and used to be a shaper during his good old days back in Peru.

Javier Santos

Co-founder

Born in Madid, father of 2 kids and a Spanish North Shore frequent surfer. With more than 15 years experience in the Financial Industry, he fell in love with the idea and has accompanied Ramon & Erik throughout the process of turning it into an exciting & unique training product.
